Love Story Post 6

"You don't know shit... this boy clearly loves you. He sits here on the bed and cuts out my photos in hope that you will walk by." (227)

Erin finally realized that she made a huge by writing that cruel story to get back at Hunter. He never really planned to sell her out and to go through with her grandmothers full plan. Hunter was furious when he heard Erin's new story and he yelled at her in class. Then he realized that she knew about the plan he made with her grandmother but he never had time to explain his side of the story because Erin was already gone. Erin's room mate explains to her that the reason Hunter comes in to help her with her cutting is because he hopes to see her because despite all that's happened he does really love her.

Sometimes we don't want to have to explain the problem, we just want the other person to know already what they did and just apologize. We often don't realize the reality of something until it's gone or taken away from us. Like Erin, we also sometimes don't see that people really love us because we are to concerned on the bad things they did. What if we just forgave, or talked it out? Maybe the pain could be avoided and there wouldn't have to be any loss. Why don't we realize what we have until it's gone?

Erin realizes she was wrong about Hunter, he really did love her. But is it too late now?

Love Story Post 5

Erin didn't know what to do with herself after the shocking new she found out about Hunter, so instead of telling him she knew she thought she would play along and use him like she thought he was using her and decided she would sleep with him to get back at him. She thought if she would sleep with him she could more easily forget him but that left her more broken hearted than before.

"I smelled him and tasted him and now when I came here every night, I would think of him, which was exactly what I never, ever intended to happen." (222)

Erin is real, she is like every teenage girl who makes impulsive decisions without thinking then realizing and regretting later. But this decisions she can never take back. Sometimes we do things in the moment either to get back at someone or because we don't think, but after that we regret it and feel horrible. We do something to try to forget someone but end up making a way to remember them even more and it hurts.

What is Erin supposed to do now? She gave away apart of herself that she can't get back because she thought she was being the smart one, the one that was using the other, but it didn't end up that way. She felt worse than before. I don't know what I would do in that situation, I can't imagine what it would be like. Every day after that to come to your room and see your bed and be reminded of what happened, what you did, and what you lost.

Love Story Post 4

Erin and Hunter had shared a wonderful evening, confessing their love for each other, and Erin finally though she had Hunter all figured out, that Hunter had changed. She though he truly loved her and that they could finally have the happy story and ending that she always wrote about in her stories, that now it would actually be her life not just the fairytale she wished she had in her stories. She couldn't hold her happiness and excited about their love so Erin sneaks into Hunters bedroom in the morning to continue what they were going to do last night but is left heartbroken at a shocking discovery when she over hears Hunter talking to her grandmother...

"All that mattered was that both of them had betrayed me even more deeply and bluntly then I had imagined, and that the love I'd thought had grown between hunter and me was the worst kind of lie." (214)

Everything that Erin though was a coincidental second chance for her to have her love story ended up being a lie, it was all planned from the moment she left her grandmothers farm. Erin in now heartbroken at the discovery she made and thinks Hunter was just playing and toying with her this entire time just to get her back home. This will change Erin's view of Hunter in a drastic way, will she go on and pretend she didn't hear that and act as if she knows nothing or will she confront Hunter about it? I want to know what is really going on between Hunter and Erin's grandmother, maybe Erin only heard a bit but maybe that's not the full story.

Erin and her grandmother never got along very well because Erin didn't want to stay home and be apart of the family business she wanted to be a writer. But things seemed to have been going well as she returns home for a bit but what will happen of Erin and her grandmothers relationship now that she knows her grandmother is behind it all?

How many times have you thought you knew someone but then they surprise you by doing something totally unexpected then you start to doubt everything you ever knew about them. What are we supposed to do when that happens? Do we just ignore it and go on as if we never knew but secretly have it bother us, for it to always be in the back of our minds because we never deal with it? Or do we risk losing the person and risk not liking what we find out if we confront the person and talk about it?

Love Story Post 3

"You love him so much."
"No I don't"
"I just can't understand how things have gone so wrong between you two for so long." (144)

Throughout most most part of the book Hunter treats Erin like crap, and even though he treats her poorly, Erin still somehow finds love for him. She still has a hope that maybe, somehow there would be a way it could all work out. But when her room mate tells her that she can tell she still loves Huner, Erin denies it. She hasn't told anyone the full story about Hunter and because he treats her poorly she wont admit that she loves him. Erin is loving and forgiving even though Hunter doesn't deserve it, but how much longer can Erin truly be this generous? Will Hunter ever change?

At one point or another we all have had someone ask us about the person we love or like, and we all have denied it. I wonder why we deny things that we consider to be so meaningful in our lives. Why does Erin deny her love for Hunter when even her room mate can see it? Is it because she's ashamed of their history and what happened between them? Because he treats her badly and doesn't want him to find out about her feelings?

So many times in out lives we just forgive people so easily and move on, because it's easier than holding a grudge against someone. Even when people treat us bad some of us still find ways to forgive them, is that because we truly love the person we forgive or is it just fear of losing someone dear? Maybe we forgive people for the wrong reasons, instead of because we love them and they are truly sorry but because we are scared to lose them. But sometimes when you keep forgiving someone even if it's for the right reason we keep forgiving so many times, they take advantage of you and think that they can do anything and it's okay because you will just forgive them. Maybe Hunter knows that Erin will always love him and he takes advantage of that.

Love Story Post 2

Have you ever had a broken heart? The kind where no matter how hard you try to forget the person they just keep coming back into your mind and heart? That just when you thought you forgot about them, BAM, there they are again? And then you swear to yourself that this is the last time, but is it really? I'm sure at one point or another all of us have had that feeling, and it isn't a very good one.

"I closed my heart to him them. I thought I had succeeded in forgetting him ten times over. Each time I was mistaken. He managed to find a way into my heart again and sabotage it form the inside. This time was the last." (99)

Erin soon realizes that she tried to forget Hunter so many times but it failed and it hurt her every time. She didn't understand why Hunter came to her school and too her classroom but he had made his way into her heart once again. This quote has a significance in the book because she claims it will be the last time she lets him get to her that this time she won't she will forget all feelings for him and that will be the end. But will Erin really be able to do that?

We all fall into the trap of believing someone can really change and it turns out that we are wrong sometimes people can't change, but what if someone can. When someone means or meant so much to you at one point it is hard to be strong and not let them hurt you again, most of the time we let ourselves get hurt by those people. Is it right to do that? Or should we just keep forgiving the people who hurt us over and over again?
